The night went amazing with over 40 photogrpahers in attendance, more than we had expected. Our 3 models had a blast as well.
Here are a few of the first photos we've seen as photographers who attended are posting them to their blogs and facebook pages. Enjoy!
(this first and 3rd photo were taken by Mike of Life Long Studios. I put our logo on it by mistake. Just wanted to say)

This month we went to a crazy, cool spot in Tampa to have a shoot with more conceptual stylings. You wouldnt believe it but this month's location was in a mattress store. You wont find a crazier mattress store around. We had some awesome models as well. Alyssa with the long hair was a past bride of ours and long time fan. Moni with the short hair rocked it as always with her gorgeous neck;) Love it! Anyway, enjoy a few photos from our cameras and Join Us on Facebook to see some of our other attendee's photos.

We were especially excited because this meant that we would get a chance to use a new toy of ours, an underwater camera! We got an underwater casing for our Canon G10 point and shoot and it was so cool. The camera itself is one powerful little brick and Ive always wanted to do underwater photos so this was a great chance to try it out.
Check out the Video!

Below are a few photos form the day.
P.s. Stay tuned because the next wedding we post will leave you wondering why your socks are in your backyard....because they were knocked off! Peace!

said on Jul 21, 2009: Those are gorgeous!!! We did the exact same thing for a bride recently in an underwater cave in Mexico. Couldn't swing the $3k for regular underwater housing so we housed the G10 instead. It was awesome!!!! I seriously love that little camera. Your shots turned out fabulous!

Side note to all you wedding photogs out there, second shooting a wedding is an awesome experience. There is less pressure, but at the same time, you have to be creative to snag shots from odd angles, and on top of that, you get to see first hand how someone else handles a wedding day. If you ever have the opportunity, definitely give it a try. Thanks again Susan, it was truly an honor, and anytime I am available, I will definitely be there! anyways, on to the pics, - briana

"BRAND new you! Branding has less to do with what you do and more to do with how you do it. Brand lives in every images you share(notice I didn't say create), every word you speak and in every form of communication you use. Next meeting we will break branding down into an easy to understand set of guidelines that will help you evaluate you as a person and as a photographer, understand your audience, how to work with a designer, understand consumer touch points and in general help you to feel better about where your brand is heading. Please bring samples of your work(print or digital) that you feel represents the work you want to get, your current business card and any other marketing materials you are using. It is going to be a fun meeting and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone!

Enter the Ybor Photo Club. Which will be the name until someone thinks of a better one (if you have suggestions, please comment!).
We will be meeting once a month with meetings geared toward having fun with our cameras (instead of working all the time) and growning as photographers, etc. Let me also say that our meetings are not just for photog's. Yes, if you are a videographer, planner, coordinator, etc. in the wedding/event industry please befriend us on Facebook (link below) to find out about unpcoming meetings so you too can take part.
Anyway, if you have any questions about us or our meetings please contact us anytime or Click Here for our Facebook Group.
Below are a few pics from our first meeting which was incredible with over 15 photographers and even more attendees. We had two sets of models; one engaged couple and another just for funzies. We shot at the Don Vicente Historic Hotel in Ybor City and then around the beautiful streets and alleyways.
Thanks so much to everyone who came out and we cant wait till next month's meeting which you will be hearing about very soon!
Our group minus a few early leavers.
P. Lloyd showin off
Meeting at our studio before the shoot
Amy Pezz gettin the shot!
...nervous....?

And a few shots we managed to snag throughout the night.

Helllllllllloooooooooooooo Friends! Phew, it has been b - to tha - izzzy ( that means busy for you guys who arent down with the lingo, jk) Just wanted to resurface and let everyone know that Yes, we are alive! Brian has been busy flying down the slopes of Breckenridge this past week ( i know, life is hard) while I have been busy working on albums, shoots, and something very exciting, The First Nightshoot!
Yes friends, you heard me correctly, DLWeddings is hosting a night shoot/networking event with Abbey Saxton Photography on Wednesday March 25th. and..... we need models! Sooooo if you are a recent bride, future bride, or just a couple who love to get their picture taken, this is for you! We are looking for a hot couple who love to strut their stuff and have a lil mini paparazzi posse follow them around! You can be engaged, married, dating, or just friends w/benefits (we dont judge) =). But, we are only in need of one couple so if you are interested email Briana at Briana@dlweddings.com for all the details and info.
And keep an eye on the blog because on the way are quite a few shoots including (but not limited to) Melanie & Mike's Fantastic Wedding, brian's escapades in Breckenridge, and a whole crapload of e.sessions!
Thanks guys!!!!
- Briana
p.s. here is a link to our event site on Facebook, if you are a photographer and you would like to attend, we would looooooove to have you, so get all your info, and come ready to rock!
